7. Reporting Abuse

Users are encouraged to report rule violations using the reporting system. False reports or misuse of the report feature may result in penalties.

Staff Rules & Responsibilities

1. Professional Conduct

Staff members must maintain a professional, respectful, and neutral attitude when interacting with users. Abuse of authority or biased behavior is not allowed.

2. Fair & Consistent Moderation

All moderation actions must be based on the established rules. Warnings, mutes, kicks, and bans must have a valid reason.

3. Abuse of Power

Any misuse of staff privileges, harassment of users, or unfair treatment will lead to an immediate review. It may also result in removal from the staff team.

4. Confidentiality

Staff members must keep all internal systems, logs, and user information strictly confidential. Data leaks or misuse will result in permanent removal.

5. Transparency & Accountability

Staff actions are logged and reviewed regularly. Staff members are responsible for clearly explaining rules and moderation decisions when required.

Enforcement & Penalties

Depending on the severity of the violation, Cody Chat may apply one or more of the following actions:

  • Warning
  • Temporary mute
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent ban

Cody Chat management reserves the right to update these rules at any time without prior notice.

Appeals & Support

If you believe a moderation action was taken unfairly, you can submit an appeal. Do this through the Contact Us on support@codychat.io or Support page. All appeals are reviewed by senior staff or administrators.
